Spectators: 6699 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 2) Hélder Ribeiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Ajax FC's Germano Baiano got a free kick in the 5th minute. Clóvis Cerezo made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Thomás Paulista sent off a good shot on target. Rony Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Paranaense in the 16th minute of play. Celso de Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celso de Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Celso de Queirós hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Ajax FC's Clóvis Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Ribeiro in the 21st minute of play. Thomás Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute Bernardinho Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes Suburbanos got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Moreno. Felippe Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Rony Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rony Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felippe Alvarenga in the 37th minute of play. Murillo Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Bernardinho Paranaense spun around in front of the goal 39 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Suburbanos's goal. After 40 minutes, Betão Sampaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Suburbanos and the Ajax FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Betão Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes of play, Ajax FC's Bernardinho Paranaense made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rony Mazza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernardinho Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Mazza having to interfere. Felippe Alvarenga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rony Mazza having to make a save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardinho Paranaense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ajax FC's zone, Thomás Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clóvis Cerezo came out of the goal and Thomás Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute Hélder Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Suburbanos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ajax FC:s goal. After 65 minutes of play, Ajax FC's Sandrinho Sá made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rony Mazza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Suburbanos's Thomás Paulista got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felippe Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Rony Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajax FC. When Thomás Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Suburbanos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomás Paulista couldn't finish the play. Thomás Paulista took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clóvis Cerezo. Clóvis Cerezo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomás Paulista in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clóvis Cerezo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Suburbanos getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Murillo Moreno hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Suburbanos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Felippe Alvarenga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Rony Mazza made a huge save. 95 minutes into the game, Fred Furtado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Suburbanos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ajax FC the free kick. The supporters of Ajax FC booed when Suburbanos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ajax FC's Sandrinho Sá shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 97th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rony Mazza but with some difficulty. Celso de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. The audience cheered when Sandrinho Sá's long shot passed Rony Mazza's right side. It was 2-3, 100 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ajax FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
