Amadeu Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael de Brito in the 5th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Bernardinho Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Germano Baiano charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Germano Baiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 14 minutes into the game, one of Ajax FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Clóvis Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacá Neiva in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Cipriano Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ji-Paraná FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clóvis Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacá Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felippe Alvarenga succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. 31 minutes into the game, Ajax FC's Renatinho Cosme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amadeu Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Bernardinho Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cipriano Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Clóvis Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cacá Neiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clóvis Cerezo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cacá Neiva ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Cacá Neiva made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd play minute Felippe Alvarenga came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Amadeu Velloso. 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Cacá Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ji-Paraná FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cacá Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clóvis Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Queiroz in the 64th minute of play forced Ajax FC's goalkeeper Clóvis Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Anselmo Lopez fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ji-Paraná FC's protests and gave Anselmo Lopez a yellow card for diving instead. Felippe Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Felippe Alvarenga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Amadeu Velloso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Felippe Alvarenga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sandrinho Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Cacá Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute.
