After 3 played minutes Leão Saturno S.C got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Prestes. Dênis Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Queirós in the 7th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Carlos Queirós put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dênis Porto. Anselmo Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Porto having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Leão Saturno S.C's goalkeeper Agnaldo Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doni Favoretto. Agnaldo Rossi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chico Salgado's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Paulo José Abraão hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute of the match Sérgio Aparecido shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agnaldo Rossi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Leão Saturno S.C getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Paulo José Abraão hit a great ball. After 31 played minutes, SC Corveta's Sérgio Aparecido shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agnaldo Rossi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Corveta reached it. Dênis Porto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Queirós's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Ruy Pitta's late challenge caught a Leão Saturno S.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruy Pitta helped the player get up and apologised. The corner led SC Corveta's Sérgio Aparecido to fire away a dangerous shot which Agnaldo Rossi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. It was beautiful to see Leão Saturno S.C's Willian Abraão in action when he in the 46th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 48thth minute of the game Carlos Queirós who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Corveta's Dênis Porto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Carlos Queirós in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dênis Porto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Anselmo Quirino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dênis Porto came out and tried to block the shot, but Anselmo Quirino slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 61st minute. In the 70th match minute, SC Corveta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruy Pitta to maneuver through the defense. Leão Saturno S.C's Anselmo Quirino shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 71st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dênis Porto but with some difficulty. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Chico Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Corveta's supporters rose to their feet, but Chico Salgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agnaldo Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Dênis Porto managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Leão Saturno S.C's Carlos Queirós fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leão Saturno S.C's Álvaro Prestes got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Corveta's goalkeeper Dênis Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hudson Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Dênis Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Porto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Queirós in the 90th minute of play forced SC Corveta's goalkeeper Dênis Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doni Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnaldo Rossi having to interfere. A hard shot 96 in the game by Carlos Queirós from a close distance when the talented Dênis Porto managed to make a qualified save. SC Corveta's players were relieved. Leão Saturno S.C's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
