Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jefferson Novaes got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Cafu Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Todos os Santos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cafu Hoffmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 played minutes Todos os Santos FC got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Netto. Oséias Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Luís Fabiano Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Tavares charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristiano Tavares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Miguel Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Jefferson Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute Jefferson Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jefferson Novaes in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miguel Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jefferson Novaes struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Miguel Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Todos os Santos FC. Todos os Santos FC's Nelson Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando de Alcântara in the 46th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 49 minutes, Miguel Abreu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando de Alcântara to make the kick off. 60 minutes into the match, Eng. Mecânica's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Novaes came free, but Miguel Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jefferson Novaes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Abreu having to make a save. In the 68th minute, Jefferson Novaes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Abreu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When Todos os Santos FC's Cristiano Tavares in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Eng. Mecânica's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77th minute of the match Lucas Siqueira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Abreu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Eng. Mecânica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Todos os Santos FC:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Novaes in the 86th minute of play forced Eng. Mecânica's goalkeeper Miguel Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Cristiano Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Jefferson Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oséias Netto during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, Oséias Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 99th minute Eng. Mecânica were awarded a corner. Fernandinho Dante went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Todos os Santos FC's goalie and right to Ivo Lira. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Todos os Santos FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
