Paulinho Passos was slow to take the kick. During this time Todos os Santos FC's players had a chance to rest. Nelson Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raúl Romero in the 30th minute. Todos os Santos FC's Nelson Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Gonçalves in the 32nd minute of play. Nelson Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Tavares struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Aloísio Veloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Todos os Santos FC. Donato Gonçalves hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Tavares in the 43rd minute of play forced Ipe EC's goalkeeper Aloísio Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Evandro Gonçalves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Ipe EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Todos os Santos FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evandro Gonçalves to make the kick off. Cristóvão França's late challenge caught a Todos os Santos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristóvão França helped the player get up and apologised. Cristóvão França kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Cristiano Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ipe EC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rogério Meirelles hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Cristiano Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jefferson Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Aloísio Veloso made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, one of Ipe EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ipe EC. When the match had been going on for 75 minutes, Todos os Santos FC's Paulinho Passos got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aloísio Veloso. After 84 played minutes Todos os Santos FC got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Netto. Ipe EC's Rafa de Alcântara couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Todos os Santos FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Raúl Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipe EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raúl Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Evandro Gonçalves put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Nelson Sousa. Nelson Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evandro Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Evandro Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Nelson Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ipe EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Todos os Santos FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Todos os Santos FC.
