But to his dismay, Belmiro da Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 10 minutes into the game, Rafael Leal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pindoretama the free kick. In the 10th match minute, Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Leal to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Júnior Arantes sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Mathias Matos threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Júnior Arantes this time. Gilvan Ramalho charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilvan Ramalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilvan Ramalho hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube's Belmiro da Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaltino Mendes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Belmiro da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilvan Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Matos having to interfere. Ramiro Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Leonardo Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias Matos didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. With a little luck, Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube's Mathias Matos got control of the ball when Ramiro Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilvan Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Matos having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Mathias Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Ramalho in the 45th minute of play. Gilvan Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilvan Ramalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube's Rodolfo de Alcântara got his second yellow card of the match in the 55th minute. The referee ordered Rodolfo de Alcântara off the ground. The supporters of Pindoretama booed when Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilvan Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Matos having to interfere. Ramiro Vidal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mathias Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Vidal in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Pindoretama getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ramiro Vidal hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pinga Fogo Futebol Clube's zone, Ramiro Vidal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Matos came out of the goal and Ramiro Vidal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilvan Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Matos having to interfere. Mathias Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilvan Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Pindoretama were the better team. Pindoretama's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
