After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Rodriguinho Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Alberto Pereira made a huge save. CRB's Rodriguinho Simão got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alessandro Quintal in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Pereira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Augusto de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Amauri Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Vergílio, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Sebastião Chaves charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Brejui SC's Alberto Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Quintal in the 83rd minute of play. Caio Soeiro's late challenge caught a CRB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caio Soeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Rodriguinho Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Pereira having to interfere. A collision led to Brejui SC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Romeu Nóbrega hit a great ball. In the 96th minute of the match Fellipe Vaz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amauri Mineiro skillfully saved the ball. Jairo Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Amauri Mineiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brejui SC.
