FC Morgenau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cauan Berger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Noel das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Haas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel das Neves couldn't finish the play. Noel das Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cauan Berger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonsinho Furlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. If Noel das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fellipe Linares might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Válbson das Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fellipe Linares ran back to his position shaking his head. Eduardo Mota struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Válbson das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Morgenau. Afonsinho Furlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cauan Berger in the 30th minute. Eduardo Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Válbson das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Noel das Neves was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in FC Morgenau's zone, Cauan Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonsinho Furlan came out of the goal and Cauan Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haas's Cauan Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute Noel das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Noel das Neves in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonsinho Furlan saved FC Morgenau from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Clóvis Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cauan Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Walmir de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the game, Eduardo Mota cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Válbson das Neves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vicente Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haas's supporters rose to their feet, but Cauan Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonsinho Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Haas booed when FC Morgenau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Morgenau eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
