Eduardo Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandão Gerber having to interfere. When Jânio Garcia fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maquina Quente FC's protests and gave Jânio Garcia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Maquina Quente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Garcia to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Maquina Quente FC's Fernandão Gerber got control of the ball when Eduardo Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Tony Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maquina Quente FC's protests and gave Tony Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Tony Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute Fellipe Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After some careless play in the FC Morgenau defense, Fellipe Aguiar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonsinho Furlan. The FC Morgenau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonsinho Furlan should have stopped the shot. Jânio Garcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonsinho Furlan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jânio Garcia ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 72 minutes, Fellipe Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maquina Quente FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fellipe Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lúcio Peres's late challenge caught a FC Morgenau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Peres helped the player get up and apologised. Lúcio Peres hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Afonsinho Furlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jânio Garcia went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score.
