Fernandão Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Falcão, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Fellipe Aguiar took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luizão Aguiar. Luizão Aguiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 31 minutes into the match, Maquina Quente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Falcão came free, but Fernandão Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Jânio Garcia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luizão Aguiar. The goal made the score 2-1. Maquina Quente FC's Fernandão Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedê Falcão in the 36th minute of play. Jânio Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luisinho Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 53rd minute Almir Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maquina Quente FC's Fernandão Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Mangueira in the 63rd minute of play. If Almir Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 minutes, Sílvio Luís Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maquina Quente FC and the Cronapp FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cronapp FC booed when Maquina Quente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 played minutes Maquina Quente FC got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Souza. Cronapp FC's Dedê Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Almir Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandão Gerber having to interfere. After having played for 94 minutes, Dedê Falcão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cronapp FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedê Falcão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maquina Quente FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
