After 3 played minutes FC Morgenau got a freekick which was hit by Cleiton da Silveira. In the 6th minute, Cido Donatello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonsinho Furlan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 9th minute Fellipe Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Nelson Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Mota charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in FC Morgenau's zone, Cido Donatello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonsinho Furlan came out of the goal and Cido Donatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute, Waldemar Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renatinho Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Furlan having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cido Donatello made a kick off. After 61 played minutes Passarinhos got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Branco. After 63 played minutes, FC Morgenau's Clóvis Seco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Telmo Cruz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Morgenau reached it. 64 minutes into the match, Passarinhos's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Linares came free, but Telmo Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Furlan having to interfere. Afonsinho Furlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renatinho Antunes went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Afonsinho Furlan came out of the goal and Cido Donatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Cido Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Passarinhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Cido Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonsinho Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonsinho Furlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renatinho Antunes in the 87th minute. Renatinho Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Afonsinho Furlan made a huge save.
