Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Passarinhos's Telmo Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís da Silveira in the 14th minute of play. Telmo Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís da Silveira in the 23rd minute of the match. Telmo Cruz made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Ronaldo Salgado sent off a good shot on target. In the 25thth minute of the game Luís da Silveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Passarinhos's Telmo Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Passarinhos's goalkeeper Telmo Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Salgado. In the 37th minute of the match Amapa got a corner. Passarinhos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Gustavo Saldanha ran over to the corner to take the kick. Amapa's Luís Gustavo Saldanha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Telmo Cruz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 42nd minute Luís da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelson Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelson Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute, Luís da Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Telmo Cruz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Vitório Faria was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Severino Pirani. The supporters of Passarinhos booed when Amapa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldemar Gaspar was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Passarinhos getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Nelson Coelho hit a great ball. When Waldemar Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Passarinhos's protests and gave Waldemar Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Passarinhos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Amapa:s goal. After a long run with the ball, Luís Gustavo Saldanha did a trick in the 70th minute in front of Passarinhos's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 3-0. Amapa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís da Silveira took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Telmo Cruz. Telmo Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Telmo Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Salgado in the 89th minute of play. After having played for 98 minutes, Ronaldo Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amapa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
