Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vladimir Rocha started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, CA Independente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Matorin to maneuver through the defense. Giovanni Ortiz hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, CA Independente's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Rocha came free, but Edson Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Bodo's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Arruda came free, but Juvenal Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimir Rocha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edson Zonta came out and tried to block the shot, but Vladimir Rocha slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. Beto Correia took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edson Zonta. Edson Zonta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Beto Correia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Edson Zonta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Benjamin Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Juvenal Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Arruda took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juvenal Abraão. Juvenal Abraão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Edson Zonta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vladimir Rocha's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The audience was convinced that Vladimir Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edson Zonta was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Vladimir Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Edson Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Edson Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Rocha in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute, Leonel Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Benjamin Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Leonel Barros reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juvenal Abraão. The goal made the score 3-2. Juvenal Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beto Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Zonta having to interfere. Vladimir Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Zonta having to interfere. Beto Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Rocha in the 92nd minute of play forced CA Independente's goalkeeper Edson Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beto Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CA Independente's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
