Edson Zonta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bebeto Paraense went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bebeto Paraense during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CA Independente booed when Chelsea Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Giovanni Ortiz made a precise shot to the right of Wesley Alvarenga. Chelsea Fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 40th minute, Bebeto Paraense made a precise shot to the right of Edson Zonta. CA Independente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. With a little luck, Chelsea Fc's Wesley Alvarenga got control of the ball when Benjamin Arruda tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wesley Alvarenga made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Benjamin Arruda sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Benjamin Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley Alvarenga having to interfere. Chelsea Fc's Cristian Breckenfeld managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Válter Matorin in the 58 minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Bebeto Paraense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bebeto Paraenses short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Edson Zonta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Bebeto Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 68 played minutes CA Independente got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Barros. After a rather tough play, Chelsea Fc's Wellington Moraes got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 73 played minutes CA Independente got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Bastos. After 77 played minutes, CA Independente's Germano Massa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wesley Alvarenga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CA Independente reached it. CA Independente's Edson Zonta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save CA Independente from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute of the match, César Barreto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edson Zonta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cristian Breckenfeld hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Josué Fontes tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Edson Zonta. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-3 in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded Chelsea Fc left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CA Independente.
