AD Jequieense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glauco Peres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AD Jequieense's Conrado Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nightmare FC's Naldo Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Peres in the 39th minute of play. Víktor Furlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, one of Nightmare FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nightmare FC. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for AD Jequieense. Doni Vasconcelos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Naldo Figueiredo. 0-2. The Nightmare FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AD Jequieense were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuca Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
