Spectators: 7180 (Terracing: 5387, Seating: 1651, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Acácio Monteiro started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Metropolitano's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Monteiro came free, but Oscar Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sertanopolis SS's zone, Wágner Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonsinho Dionísio came out of the goal and Wágner Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leandro Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Afonsinho Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Arruda in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonsinho Dionísio saved Sertanopolis SS from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wágner Braga in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonsinho Dionísio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Luiz Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Paraibano having to interfere. When Acácio Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Sertanopolis SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Monteiro couldn't finish the play. Afonsinho Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Braga in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Arruda in the 39th minute of play forced Sertanopolis SS's goalkeeper Afonsinho Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonsinho Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Arruda in the 40th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leandro Arruda made a kick off. If Wágner Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. If Wágner Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Sertanopolis SS's Afonsinho Dionísio got control of the ball when Wágner Braga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th match minute, Sertanopolis SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 78 in the game by Wágner Braga from a close distance when the talented Afonsinho Dionísio managed to make a qualified save. Sertanopolis SS's players were relieved. 81 minutes into the game, Leandro Arruda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Metropolitano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sertanopolis SS the free kick. Leandro Arruda hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Wágner Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Sertanopolis SS's Vitório Simão got a free kick in the 87th minute. Leandro Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Sertanopolis SS's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Arruda came free, but Afonsinho Dionísio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
