After a rather tough play, Manster Laion's Dênis Mendes got a free kick in the 16th minute. If Acácio Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luizinho Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luiz Proença in the 38th minute of play forced Manster Laion's goalkeeper Luizinho Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sertanopolis SS getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Vitório Simão hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the game, Marcus Souto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Afonsinho Dionísio. Marcus Souto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Acácio Monteiro was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Luiz Proenças short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Luizinho Pena to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Manster Laion's zone, Pedro Luiz Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizinho Pena came out of the goal and Pedro Luiz Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Acácio Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Luizinho Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Acácio Monteiro in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luizinho Pena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Dionísio having to interfere. In the 66thth minute of the game Zé Terra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sertanopolis SS's Afonsinho Dionísio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcus Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Afonsinho Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manster Laion's Ademar Lira got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Terra took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonsinho Dionísio. Afonsinho Dionísio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 95 minutes into the game, Marcus Souto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Afonsinho Dionísio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sertanopolis SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
