The wind increased when Bebeto Paraense made the kick off in the second half. When Vitório Simão fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sertanopolis SS's protests and gave Vitório Simão a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chelsea Fc booed when Sertanopolis SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Proença in the 83rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sertanopolis SS's zone, Wellington Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonsinho Dionísio came out of the goal and Wellington Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wellington Moraes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Chelsea Fc's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 89th play minutes Wellington Moraes shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Afonsinho Dionísio and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Monteiro in the 93rd minute of play forced Chelsea Fc's goalkeeper Wesley Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellington Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chelsea Fc were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
