Décio Costa came out of the goal and Waldir Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When AD Jequieense's Eliseo Sandalio in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GALO 13™'s goalie prevented a goal. Falcão Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danton Christini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Eliseo Sandalio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Décio Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliseo Sandalio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Víktor Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Waldir Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the AD Jequieense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Velasco couldn't finish the play. Eliseo Sandalio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Falcão Messias made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, AD Jequieense's Víktor Furlan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Décio Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Waldir Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseo Sandalio scored 2-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Décio Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the GALO 13™ defense, Eliseo Sandalio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Décio Costa. The GALO 13™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Décio Costa should have stopped the shot. AD Jequieense's Armando Jacinto was substituted for Eliseo Sandalio. In the 78th minute Armando Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Costa having to interfere. If Armando Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Armando Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the AD Jequieense fans jumped to their feet.
