After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Edu Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soccer Kings United's supporters rose to their feet, but Edu Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Roberto Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Luís Linares fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corinthians's protests and gave Luís Linares a yellow card for diving instead. Luís Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Artur Sergipano came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Corinthians's Luís Linares. But to his dismay, Luís Linares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Zé Roberto Valle made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Edu Lira sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Soccer Kings United defense, Wágner Freire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artur Sergipano. The Soccer Kings United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artur Sergipano should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Luís Linares made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Corinthians's Luís Linares dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Zé Roberto Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edu Lira's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Corinthians's Zé Roberto Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Lira in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Salgado in the 76th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wágner Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corinthians's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
