After a defensive mix-up in Assoc Atlética Epitaciana's zone, Joélson Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Leão came out of the goal and Joélson Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês Bezerra in the 10th minute of the match. João Pedro de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Leão having to interfere. Assoc Atlética Epitaciana's Tomás Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Arruda in the 13th minute of play. Délio Lara struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Tomás Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morada. In the 18th minute, Délio Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Joélson Arruda put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tomás Leão. Tomás Leão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Pedro de Toledo went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Tomás Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joélson Arruda's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Davi Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho do Nascimento in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Brasil in the 37th minute of play forced Morada's goalkeeper Davi Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Joélson Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morada's supporters rose to their feet, but Joélson Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Assoc Atlética Epitaciana's goalkeeper Tomás Leão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When João Pedro de Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Morada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pedro de Toledo couldn't finish the play. Davi Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute, Marcinho do Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Davi Montenegro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After the first half Morada were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joélson Arruda to make the kick off. João Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Pedro de Toledo took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Leão. Tomás Leão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Davi Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Almir Gomes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tomás Leão. Assoc Atlética Epitaciana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Morada's Carlinhos Bastos got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Morada's Joélson Arruda in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Assoc Atlética Epitaciana's goalie prevented a goal. Tomás Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Assoc Atlética Epitaciana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. 88 minutes into the game, Cipriano Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Assoc Atlética Epitaciana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morada the free kick. In the 88th minute, Cipriano Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juarês Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Leão having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Morada left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Assoc Atlética Epitaciana.
