Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Altair FC's Nilson Quaresma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Mota in the 6th minute of play. If Zézinho Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nilson Quaresma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Lara in the 15th minute of play. Nilson Quaresma came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by OsCaneleiros's Valdir Pires. But to his dismay, Valdir Pires quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 19th minute, Nilmar Lara reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nilson Quaresma. The goal made the score 3-0. Nilson Quaresma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doriva Mota in the 22nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Doriva Mota kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nilson Quaresma. That made the score 4-0 in the 26 minute of play. Dedê Alves took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nilson Quaresma. Nilson Quaresma dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Nilson Quaresma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nilmar Lara in the 37th minute. Nilson Quaresma was a little too slow when Doriva Mota got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 6-0. Thanks to some nice moves Dedê Alves could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Nilson Quaresma however easily saved by the left post. Nilson Quaresma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Mota in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Vidal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nilson Quaresma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The supporters of OsCaneleiros booed when Altair FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball.
