The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's goalkeeper Wellington Martins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edu Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Martins having to interfere. Luisinho Salgado struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Wellington Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soccer Kings United. Wellington Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Luisinho Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Soccer Kings United's zone, João Pedro Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Sergipano came out of the goal and João Pedro Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dorian Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's João Pedro Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC defense, Luisinho Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wellington Martins. The 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wellington Martins should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Soccer Kings United's zone, João Pedro Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Sergipano came out of the goal and João Pedro Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Pedro Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Artur Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Valdemar Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If João Pedro Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's Wellington Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Salgado in the 53rd minute of play. Luisinho Salgado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wellington Martins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's João Pedro Oliveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 61 minutes, Edu Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soccer Kings United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edu Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Pedro Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Sergipano having to interfere. If Edu Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th match minute, 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. Artur Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, João Pedro Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Pedro Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Pedro Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edu Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Soccer Kings United's performance. The match ended with a win for Soccer Kings United.
