Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caetano Medeiros in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artur Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edu Lira struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. César Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soccer Kings United. César Duarte didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 19th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Artur Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Azevedo in the 24th minute of play. Caetano Medeiros took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artur Sergipano. Artur Sergipano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 35 minutes into the match, Edu Lira notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Orlando Pirates's César Duarte. César Duarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caetano Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. Artur Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diogo Azevedo in the 61st minute. Ulisses de Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulisses de Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ulisses de Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. José Pedro Prestes hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Edu Lira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. César Duarte was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. José Pedro Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Sergipano having to interfere. Edu Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisinho Salgado in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck César Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, Edu Lira made a precise shot to the right of César Duarte. Orlando Pirates's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Artur Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If José Pedro Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caetano Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Artur Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
