The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Dracena got free with Tomás Leão in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, Assoc Atlética Epitaciana's goalkeeper Tomás Leão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evaristo Dracena. Evaristo Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Tomás Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Da Vinci FC's Róbson Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho de Amaral in the 29th minute of play. Francisco Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match Duarte Cosme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Róbson Quintal skillfully saved the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Evaristo Dracena notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Assoc Atlética Epitaciana's Tomás Leão. Tomás Leão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Evaristo Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Dracena who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Tomás Leão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Nogueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evaristo Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evaristo Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Luciano Tande came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Da Vinci FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Tande couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the match, Assoc Atlética Epitaciana's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Nogueira came free, but Tomás Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Evaristo Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Rui Nogueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Leão. Assoc Atlética Epitaciana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Nogueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Duarte Cosme, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tomás Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Rui Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Dracena in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Da Vinci FC were the better team. Da Vinci FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
