Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joélson Arruda started the match with the kick off. Vito Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davi Montenegro having to interfere. Tony Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute of the match Cauan Valle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Davi Montenegro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Magalhães in the 8th minute of play forced Morada's goalkeeper Davi Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th match minute, Morada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio Lara to maneuver through the defense. João Pedro de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Joélson Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruninho Pinheiro took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Davi Montenegro. Davi Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Luís Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davi Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Linares in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Morada's Joélson Arruda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Morada's Davi Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Linares in the 32nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Délio Lara during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Délio Lara hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Joélson Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tony Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Zé Roberto Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joélson Arruda might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Roberto Valle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joélson Arruda ran back to his position shaking his head. Morada's João Pedro de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Linares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Délio Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morada's supporters rose to their feet, but Délio Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Roberto Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Joélson Arruda put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Zé Roberto Valle. Joélson Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Valle having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Délio Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joélson Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Délio Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joélson Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Valle having to interfere. Zé Roberto Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Alvarenga in the 71st minute of play. Morada were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Corinthians's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Délio Lara took the corner. Délio Lara made a great header on Morada's corner, it was just that Corinthians's Zé Roberto Valle managed to reach the ball for a save. When Wágner Freire fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corinthians's protests and gave Wágner Freire a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Wágner Freire hit a great ball. When Joélson Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Morada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joélson Arruda couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the match, Morada's Délio Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Roberto Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 91st match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Délio Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Zé Roberto Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Morada had played much better football throughout.
