The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Barreto in the 10th minute of play forced Morada's goalkeeper Davi Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 11 minutes of play, 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's João Pedro Oliveira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Davi Montenegro was left in no man's land by his defense there! If João Pedro de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21st minute, Tony Alvarenga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 22 minutes, João Pedro de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morada's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Pedro de Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juarês Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Martins having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson Arruda in the 31st minute of play forced 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's goalkeeper Wellington Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Joélson Arruda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wellington Martins was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. João Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joélson Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joélson Arruda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Wellington Martins made a huge save. After 43 played minutes Morada got a freekick which was hit by Carlinhos Bastos. Reginaldo de Almeida took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Davi Montenegro. Morada's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Joélson Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joélson Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Délio Lara was slow to take the kick. During this time Morada's players had a chance to rest. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joélson Arruda in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Délio Lara's late challenge caught a 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Délio Lara helped the player get up and apologised. Délio Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Lara in the 74th minute of play forced 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's goalkeeper Wellington Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wellington Martins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joélson Arruda's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Joélson Arruda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wellington Martins. 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joélson Arruda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 89th minute, Joélson Arruda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wellington Martins was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. If Juarês Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, 8 DE NOVEMBRO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Arruda came free, but Wellington Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
