Financial MK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Izumi F.C. the free kick. One of Financial MK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Izumi F.C.:s goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tião Magalhães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adriano Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Financial MK's goal looked a bit too open when Gildo Ferreira came free, but Franklin Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dito Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute, Erik Soares had to leave the field with a concussion. 62 minutes into the game, Celso Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 97th minute, Baltazar Trevisan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Financial MK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
