In the 71stth minute of the game Claudinei Lago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bs Agro F.C's Régis Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Teixeira got free with Tomé Barral in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in São José F. C.'s zone, Zé Pedro Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Barral came out of the goal and Zé Pedro Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. São José F. C.'s attentive Marcelinho Pontes managed to snatch the ball when Afonso Arce made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. In the 92nd match minute, São José F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Bs Agro F.C's Borys Klimkiewicz quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Geovânio Mineiro, made in the 94th minute of the game. When the match was over Bs Agro F.C could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than São José F. C. throughout the match.
