In the 4th match minute, Real brasil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Gernando da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Luís Fábio Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Real brasil's Álvaro Guerra got a free kick in the 6th minute. Oséas Guimarães's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Luís Fábio Antunes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Oséas Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th match minute, Real brasil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Guerra to maneuver through the defense. The Formiga Atômica fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Formiga Atômica's Gernando da Mata looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Formiga Atômica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gernando da Mata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gernando da Matas short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Luís Fábio Antunes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Real brasil's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Gernando da Mata scored to the left of an out of position Luís Fábio Antunes, making the score, 2-0. After 35 played minutes Formiga Atômica got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Cardoso. Nilson Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oséas Guimarães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Luís Fábio Antunes made a huge save. Gernando da Mata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Fábio Antunes having to make a save. Real brasil were furious when Delfim Travassos was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 45th minute, one of Real brasil:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real brasil.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gernando da Mata made a kick off. After some careless play in the Real brasil defense, Gernando da Mata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Fábio Antunes. The Real brasil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Fábio Antunes should have stopped the shot. 66 minutes into the match, Gernando da Mata notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Real brasil's Luís Fábio Antunes. Luís Fábio Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gernando da Mata scored 6-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Fábio Antunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oséas Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute.
