Matheus Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís Freire having to interfere. If Matheus Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aírton Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Luizinho Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Luís Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Sanches in the 16th minute of play. If Aírton Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pimenteiral getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Samuca Novaes hit a great ball. Confiança's Rui Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Paulo Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Aírton Brito fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Luizinho Cerezo, passed just outside the right post. Luizinho Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aírton Brito scored 1-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luizinho Cerezo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Aírton Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Confiança's supporters rose to their feet, but Aírton Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizinho Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aírton Brito got free with Luizinho Cerezo in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Vale in the 48th minute of play forced Pimenteiral's goalkeeper Luizinho Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matheus Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Matheus Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Confiança's Sílvio Luís Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Oliveira in the 55th minute of play. Luizinho Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Brito in the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Pimenteiral booed when Confiança was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Confiança's Sílvio Luís Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Sanches in the 68th minute of play. In the 68th minute Matheus Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luís Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eriberto Sanches in the 75th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Aírton Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Confiança's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aírton Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85thth minute of the game Aírton Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pimenteiral's Luizinho Cerezo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luizinho Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Vale in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Eriberto Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizinho Cerezo having to interfere. When Confiança's Rui Vale in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pimenteiral's goalie prevented a goal. Confiança walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
