Real Parnamirim F.C.'s Elivélton Prata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Real Parnamirim F.C. from getting a goal against them. Anselmo da Mata might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Augusto da Mata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo da Mata was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Anselmo da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Parnamirim F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo da Mata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur Madureira's late challenge caught a Real Parnamirim F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arthur Madureira helped the player get up and apologised. When Zé Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Real Parnamirim F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Paranaense couldn't finish the play. Eriberto Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Zé Paranaense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Augusto da Mata. Ibitiuna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Paranaense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ibitiuna's José Augusto da Mata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Ibitiuna from getting a goal against them. In the 90th match minute, Ibitiuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Sá to maneuver through the defense.
