In the 41st minute, Elivélton Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oséas Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Vale in the 45th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vítor Ortiz to make the kick off. Ponta da Praia FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Vítor Ortiz scored to the left of an out of position Oséas Barral, making the score, 0-1. With his leg Oséas Barral managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Tauarua's Elivélton Vale fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Elivélton Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ponta da Praia FC's Oséas Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Ponta da Praia FC from getting a goal against them. When Artemio Donio came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Ponta da Praia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Donio couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Alexsandro de Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute, Elivélton Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oséas Barral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Elivélton Vale who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Oséas Barral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gerson dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Geraldo Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artemio Donio in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geraldo Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ponta da Praia FC's Oséas Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Ortiz in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Donio in the 95th minute of play forced Tauarua's goalkeeper Geraldo Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Ponta da Praia FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tauarua's performance. The match ended with a win for Tauarua.
