Erik Guimarães started the match with the kick off. Erik Guimarães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vânderson Dantas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Betão de Medeiros hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Tijolo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Erik Guimarães 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Germano Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Lima having to interfere. Adilson Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Erik Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Acácio Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Zanette in the 27th minute of the match. Gernando Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Lima having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, Tijolo's Germano Dracena made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Acácio Lima was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gernando Zanette struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Acácio Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tijolo. If Germano Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adilson Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrianinho da Silva during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Tijolo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho da Silva to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Adilson Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imbozal EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adilson Galvão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vânderson Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vânderson Dantas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Guimarães went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Dé da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Vânderson Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adilson Galvão scored 3-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vânderson Dantas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Erik Guimarães's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vânderson Dantas was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. When Germano Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Tijolo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Dracena couldn't finish the play. If Adilson Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tijolo getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Genílson Seco hit a great ball. When Adilson Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Imbozal EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adilson Galvão couldn't finish the play. When Gernando Zanette came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Tijolo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gernando Zanette couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tijolo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Imbozal EC.
