Frédson Carioca started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Serafim Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crimson Wolves's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafim Bueno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raí Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramiro Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 12 played minutes Betus FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Guilherme de Moraes. Ramiro Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Osvaldinho Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Betus FC's Frédson Carioca dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Maurinho Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Betus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Bueno came free, but Raí Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Edson Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Betus FC's zone, Ramiro Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí Quirino came out of the goal and Ramiro Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramiro Veloso made a kick off. Frédson Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Brito having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Carioca in the 56th minute of play forced Crimson Wolves's goalkeeper Ruy Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Veloso in the 58th minute of play forced Betus FC's goalkeeper Raí Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betus FC's Raí Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Bueno in the 62nd minute of play. When Betus FC's Osvaldinho Branco in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Crimson Wolves's goalie prevented a goal. Raí Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Veloso in the 66th minute of the match. If Serafim Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldinho Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Serafim Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crimson Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafim Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Betus FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
