The supporters of Sem Saída FC booed when S.C Internacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesinha Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Cesinha Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 19 minutes of play, S.C Internacional's Hudson Coelho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arthur de Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Hudson Coelho in the 22nd minute of play forced Sem Saída FC's goalkeeper Arthur de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in S.C Internacional's zone, Cesinha Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tostão de Toledo came out of the goal and Cesinha Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 29 played minutes Sem Saída FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Fontes. Arthur de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hudson Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 played minutes S.C Internacional got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Penha. Cesinha Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hudson Coelho took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arthur de Azevedo. Arthur de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hudson Coelho to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sem Saída FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Cordeiro came free, but Arthur de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tostão de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesinha Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, Evandro Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd match minute, S.C Internacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Perez to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sem Saída FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Nilson Leite hit a great ball. Sem Saída FC's Arthur de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank da Silveira in the 66th minute of play. Jailson Perez hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Dorival Veiga made in the 71st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sem Saída FC's Evandro Furlan. Evandro Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Hudson Coelho struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Arthur de Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C Internacional. 93 minutes into the match, Sem Saída FC's goalkeeper Arthur de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Cordeiro. Cléberson Sergipano charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cléberson Sergipano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sem Saída FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Leandro Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 100th minute of the match, but Arthur de Azevedo made a huge save. The Sem Saída FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. S.C Internacional were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
