If Ramón Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Faustão Abreu put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fernandinho Mendes. Artur Batista struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Capenema PR's zone, Faustão Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandinho Mendes came out of the goal and Faustão Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celso Pires scored 2-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernandinho Mendes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute, Artur Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernandinho Mendes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Fred Cabral charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fred Cabral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 played minutes Capenema PR got a freekick which was hit by Fred Cabral. Fernandinho Mendes made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Bruninho Salles sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, Ramón Marquez made a precise shot to the right of Anderson Viana. CJ HENRIQUE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Faustão Abreu scored 4-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernandinho Mendes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute of the match Nilton de Alcântara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anderson Viana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Faustão Abreu made the kick off in the second half. Artur Batista's late challenge caught a Capenema PR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Batista helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Capenema PR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Freitas to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capenema PR's goalkeeper Fernandinho Mendes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Capenema PR's goal looked a bit too open when Faustão Abreu came free, but Fernandinho Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustão Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Fernandinho Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Mendes having to interfere. Lauro Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. CJ HENRIQUE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruninho Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CJ HENRIQUE FC's Faustão Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernandinho Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CJ HENRIQUE FC had played much better football throughout.
