After having played for 16 minutes, Ramón Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capenema PR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramón Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, CHULAK F C's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Marquez came free, but Breno Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Afonsinho Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the CHULAK F C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonsinho Salgado couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Capenema PR's Silvinho de Toledo got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Afonsinho Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvinho de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. When Silvinho de Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capenema PR's protests and gave Silvinho de Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of CHULAK F C booed when Capenema PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvinho de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute of the match João Vítor Fontes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernandinho Mendes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Capenema PR's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Vítor Fontes was slow to take the kick. During this time CHULAK F C's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Salgado in the 32nd minute of play forced Capenema PR's goalkeeper Fernandinho Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Fernandinho Mendes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Afonsinho Salgado in the 37thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After the first half Capenema PR were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramón Marquez to make the kick off. Ramón Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Guedes having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Valdo Gaúcho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernandinho Mendes was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. The supporters of CHULAK F C booed when Capenema PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Silvinho de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, CHULAK F C's João Vítor Fontes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 68th minute, Ramón Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Telmo Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Breno Guedes having to make a save. Ramón Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes CHULAK F C got a freekick which was hit by Zeca de Azevedo. A collision led to CHULAK F C getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. João Vítor Fontes hit a great ball. CHULAK F C's Breno Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Marquez in the 85th minute of play. Basílio Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Capenema PR eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
