Ricardinho Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Donatello having to interfere. If Ricardinho Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Saecinza's Ricardinho Pombal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elivélton Donatello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Juarês da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saecinza's supporters rose to their feet, but Juarês da Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elivélton Donatello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Real Madruga's Elivélton Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Secco in the 31st minute of play. Elivélton Donatello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juarês da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardinho Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Donatello having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Aparecido recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Júlio Alagoano. Hortêncio Aparecido showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Júlio Alagoano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Almir Amaral in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juarês da Rocha to make the kick off. Juarês da Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Elivélton Donatello made a huge save. Juarês da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Donatello having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Saecinza's Igor Paranaense got a free kick in the 60th minute. Saecinza's Júlio Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Velloso in the 66th minute of play. After 67 minutes, Sandro Secco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saecinza and the Real Madruga players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Sandro Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Júlio Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Juarês da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardinho Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Corrêa in the 76th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Juarês da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saecinza's supporters rose to their feet, but Juarês da Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elivélton Donatello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute Sandro Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elivélton Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Saecinza's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio Aparecido came free, but Júlio Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Real Madruga could leave the field as winners, despite Saecinza having more of the ball for most of the match.
