In the 21st minute Juvenal Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dênis Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Real Vitinho's Jaime Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Tasso in the 26th minute of play. Juvenal Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Quirino having to interfere. Anselmo Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alessandro Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Bernardo Quirino made a huge save. Jaime Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Tasso in the 41st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Anselmo Tasso put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jaime Tasso. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Emílio Varela charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emílio Varela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd match minute, Real Vitinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Varela to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute of the match Ramón Silveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaime Tasso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carazinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dênis Penha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Real Vitinho booed when Carazinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guto da Costa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernardo Quirino. Carazinho FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Vitinho's goalkeeper Jaime Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jaime Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Enéas Nunes hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match.
