Pentagna's Raúl Dionísio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Pentagna from getting a goal against them. Filipe Paraibano struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Raúl Dionísio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SpartacuS. If Baltazar Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúl Dionísio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tiago Gabriel Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baltazar Luz to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Baltazar Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raúl Dionísio was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. But to his dismay, Alan Saldanha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 68 minutes into the match, Alan Saldanha notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SpartacuS's Manuel Paes. Manuel Paes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alex Sanches's late challenge caught a SpartacuS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Sanches helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pentagna's Alex Sanches got a free kick in the 71st minute. Alan Saldanha might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Paes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alan Saldanha ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 76 minutes, Baltazar Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SpartacuS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baltazar Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of SpartacuS booed when Pentagna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Filipe Paraibano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raúl Dionísio. Pentagna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filipe Paraibano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
