Dinei Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Eliseu de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trombadinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mucui's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edgar Neiva was slow to take the kick. During this time Trombadinha FC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Cícero Severo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Eliseu de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Pirani having to interfere. Trombadinha FC's José Carlos Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dinei Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 36 minutes, Cícero Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trombadinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cícero Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute Marcel Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cícero Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If José Carlos Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Carlos Torres was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Mucui's Hermínio Quirino got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 53 played minutes Mucui got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Andrade. Trombadinha FC's José Carlos Torres suffered a sore foot after 54 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Natã Reis's late challenge caught a Trombadinha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natã Reis helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mucui! After some careless play in the Mucui defense, Edgar Neiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dinei Pirani. The Mucui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dinei Pirani should have stopped the shot. Cícero Severo might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dinei Pirani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cícero Severo ran back to his position shaking his head. Vinícius Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. A collision led to Trombadinha FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Kaká Varela hit a great ball. Marcel Ortizs short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Hermínio Nunes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermínio Quirino in the 78th minute of play forced Trombadinha FC's goalkeeper Hermínio Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Eliseu de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trombadinha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hermínio Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinícius Andrade in the 91st minute of the match. Hermínio Nunes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Claudinei Vander. Marcel Ortizs short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Hermínio Nunes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 98th minute, Kaká Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
