The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 played minutes Pentagna got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Veloso. Raúl Dionísio stood somewhat misplaced when Luiz Fernando de Senna came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 7 minute. After 13 played minutes Pentagna got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Valadares. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas Sabóia during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raúl Dionísio came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Kolob FC's Renato de Toledo. But to his dismay, Renato de Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 25th minute of the match Betinho Brodel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raúl Dionísio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alan Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luan Velasco having to interfere. Pentagna's Tiago Gabriel Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renato de Toledo got free with Raúl Dionísio in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kolob FC's Luiz Fernando de Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Luiz Fernando de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Dionísio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Renato de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Raúl Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fernando de Senna in the 52nd minute of the match. Juvenal Alvarenga charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juvenal Alvarenga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Tiago Gabriel Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Pentagna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Gabriel Barreto couldn't finish the play. If Alan Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pentagna's Tiago Gabriel Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato de Toledo in the 63rd minute of play forced Pentagna's goalkeeper Raúl Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renato de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Dionísio having to interfere. When Juvenal Alvarenga was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. The supporters of Kolob FC booed when Pentagna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fernando de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fernando de Senna in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raúl Dionísio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedrinho Machado charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedrinho Machado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Renato de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes of play, Kolob FC's Luiz Fernando de Senna made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raúl Dionísio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Pentagna's zone, Renato de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raúl Dionísio came out of the goal and Renato de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renato de Toledo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raúl Dionísio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play.
