But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Paraense couldn't finish the play. Abelardo Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Gil Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Neves having to interfere. Túlio Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Túlio Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Zanette charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Zanette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alex Zanette hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Serafim Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinei Neves was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Júlio Paraense capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Júlio Paraense really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 33rd minute, Abelardo Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruilandia's Dinei Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Ruilandia from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gil Alves got free with Dinei Neves in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gil Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Dinei Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ruilandia booed when Knights Of Cydonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Alves in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinei Neves saved Ruilandia from getting behind. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruilandia's goalkeeper Dinei Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Túlio Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
