A hard shot 3 in the game by Eusébio Valladares from a close distance when the talented Edgar Tepedino managed to make a qualified save. Liverpool FC's players were relieved. Durvalino Mattos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlando Zonta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. If Eugênio Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Canuma FC's Edgar Tepedino threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ronaldo Borges, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edgar Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Borges in the 20th minute of play. Christian Messias's late challenge caught a Canuma FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Messias helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute Durvalino Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Oliveira in the 26th minute of play forced Canuma FC's goalkeeper Orlando Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes, Liverpool FC's Henrique Gaspar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Orlando Zonta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Liverpool FC reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as Ronaldo Borges kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edgar Tepedino. That made the score 1-0 in the 33 minute of play. If Eusébio Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 minutes, Patrick Falcão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liverpool FC and the Canuma FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Patrick Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando Sampaio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edgar Tepedino. Liverpool FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Baltazar Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Ronaldo Borges's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgar Tepedino was relentless in the 46th minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Borges to make the kick off. Canuma FC's Eusébio Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Borges notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Liverpool FC's Edgar Tepedino. Edgar Tepedino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Canuma FC's Ronaldo Borges in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liverpool FC's goalie prevented a goal. The Canuma FC fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Canuma FC's Eusébio Valladares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nuno Soeiro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Ronaldo Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Tepedino having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Liverpool FC's Eugênio Oliveira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Orlando Zonta. Orlando Zonta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. If Bruno Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute Ronaldo Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgar Tepedino came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Canuma FC's Ronaldo Borges. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Canuma FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Canuma FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
