But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Borges couldn't finish the play. Roger Maciel's late challenge caught a Canuma FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roger Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Canuma FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Baltazar Tróia hit a great ball. Ronaldo Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Túlio Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Zonta having to interfere. Dinei Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Borges in the 71st minute of the match. Canuma FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
