Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Camelia SS booed when Gequi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson de Souza in the 8th minute of play forced Gequi's goalkeeper Josué Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josué Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Koehler in the 9th minute of the match. Célio Velloso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Claudinei Coutinho came out and tried to block the shot, but Célio Velloso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gequi's zone, Lenílson de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Marquez came out of the goal and Lenílson de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gequi's Válter Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Vicente Catarinense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Camelia SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gequi the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Camelia SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. When Dé Koehler came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Camelia SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dé Koehler couldn't finish the play. Lenílson de Souza's late challenge caught a Gequi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lenílson de Souza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, Camelia SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lenílson de Souza to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Camelia SS's Edvaldo Coelho got a free kick in the 30th minute. Claudinei Coutinho made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Célio Velloso sent off a good shot on target. Célio Velloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Claudinei Coutinho made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Válter Leal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvaldo Coelho during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes Camelia SS got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Coelho. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Camelia SS's Lenílson de Souza in the 54th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Josué Marquez was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Gequi through an amazing save. 57 minutes into the game, Josué Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Camelia SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gequi the free kick. After 57 played minutes Camelia SS got a freekick which was hit by Josué Andrade. After 59 played minutes Camelia SS got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Coelho. Andrézinho Mendes hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Camelia SS's Lenílson de Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Válter Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th match minute, Gequi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Matos to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Gequi getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Anselmo Albuquerque hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Lenílson de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Camelia SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenílson de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 94 minutes, Válter Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gequi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Válter Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Camelia SS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gequi.
