In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taperoa SS's goalkeeper Dráusio Hermes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Taperoa SS's zone, Gilberto Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráusio Hermes came out of the goal and Gilberto Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Taperoa SS's João Francisco Veloso got a free kick in the 16th minute. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Franklin Macedo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dráusio Hermes to make any attempt to save it. Benjamim de Andrade came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Taperoa SS's Benedito Trancoso. But to his dismay, Benedito Trancoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jefferson Leme struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Benjamim de Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taperoa SS. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franklin Macedo in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dráusio Hermes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Edmílson Valladares put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Benjamim de Andrade. Gilberto Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Taperoa SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Franklin Macedo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Djow FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Severino Gerber hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Brasil got free with Dráusio Hermes in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmílson Valladares to strike the kick off in the second half. When Álvaro Negri fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Djow FC's protests and gave Álvaro Negri a yellow card for diving instead. Álvaro Negri hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Jefferson Leme took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamim de Andrade. Benjamim de Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Edmílson Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gilberto Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomé Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. A beautiful save bye Djow FC's goalie prevented a goal. Benjamim de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Valladares in the 88th minute of play. If Edmílson Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taperoa SS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
