The audience was convinced that Valdomiro Meira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamim de Andrade was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. José Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Franklin Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Leite having to interfere. If Emílio Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Valdomiro Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Valdomiro Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emílio Meireles in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamim de Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Djow FC's Benjamim de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Meireles in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match Jorginho Donatello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benjamim de Andrade showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Valdomiro Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot. EC Vitória's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdomiro Meira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamim de Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gilberto Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After 52 played minutes Djow FC got a freekick which was hit by José Britto. The crowd rose to their feet as Emílio Meireles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benjamim de Andrade. That made the score 1-1 in the 57 minute of play. Benjamim de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Meireles in the 65th minute of play. José Britto hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. If Gilberto Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdomiro Meira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Benjamim de Andrade made a huge save. José Britto's late challenge caught a EC Vitória's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Britto helped the player get up and apologised. Benjamim de Andrade made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Valdomiro Meira sent off a good shot on target. Djow FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Emílio Meireles scored to the left of an out of position Benjamim de Andrade, making the score, 1-2. A collision led to Djow FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. José Britto hit a great ball. In the 91st match minute, EC Vitória was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. After 94 minutes, Valdomiro Meira made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Djow FC's Benjamim de Andrade tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. EC Vitória had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
