Betão Nascimento charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Betão Nascimento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Friburguense FC booed when Sapiranga F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilson de Amorim took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacinto Porto. Jacinto Porto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Jacinto Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pong Elin in the 96th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sapiranga F C fully deserved thier win.
